Hi Guys
Thought we'd write our first blog to keep you updated and to give you our itinerary ...
We arrived safely in Delhi and have been staying with friends of family for the last couple of days. It's great to see the local side to Delhi and they've been amazing hosts!
Yesterday we chilled and met the cutest little boy who taught us some animal names in Hindi and sat in the Lodi Gardens and saw an awesome sunset and gathering of birds at dusk. We've also been to one of the best restaurants in Delhi (which was very swanky) and have visited the Gandhi museum and the site of his assassination. We've experienced our first monsoon which was well needed as it was 40 degrees plus!
After the Museum I was standing waiting for Sam under a tree (nature called!) when I heard what i thought was more rain, looking up however i saw a branch fall off the tree over my head. Running away with the locals I saw the culprit, a huge monkey! Sam then walked the same path and just missed half the tree breaking off and crashing to the floor! A near miss!!! We were both ok and a source of entertainment for many locals :-)
We're off to Mumbai tomo and then to Kerala for a couple of weeks. In total it will take us about 48 hours on 2 sleeper trains. We've decided to brave it without air con, so hopefully we can hack it! Fun fun!
Our full intinerary is as follows:
July - September: India
September: Nepal and Tibet
Early October: India
Late October - early December: Bangladesh
December - late January: Thailand
February - March: Cambodia
April: Vietnam and Laos

We'd love it if any of you could come and join us. None of the dates above are set in stone so we can be flexible.
